Grade 1 to 2

Students build upon their kindergarten foundation of numeracy and literacy with ACE Mathematics and Word Building. The Word Building PACEs build a solid foundation for reading skills which is a highly essential skill for an ACE student. The PACEs cover exercises that will help students practice tracing, writing the alphabets, colouring, and identifying animals and objects, and includes a variety of exercises that help with review and retention. The lessons are infused with fun and interactive animal science lessons combined with singing and acting that engage the students to learn and read.

Mastery in phonetic reading skills is carefully nurtured by supervisors throughout these grades. Independence in learning is gradually instilled through exploratory reading and writing in English, Science and Social Studies PACEs. Students have the opportunity to explore literature and are introduced early to scientific inquiry and social sciences, all within a wholesome classroom environment from a Christian perspective.

Here in Heritage Academy, experiential learning through hands-on activities and mini field trips are a meaningful part of Grade 1 & 2 programme. These are wonderful activities that engage students to learn facts and concepts in relation to the world beyond the classroom, especially in the subjects of Science and Social Studies.
